Customize The Windows 7 Log-On Screen

Windows 7 makes it easy changing the Windows log-on screen.
1. Go to start, and click on Run, type Regedit & press enter there.
2. Navigate to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVe rsion\Authentication\ LogonUI\Background
3. Double-click the OEMBackground DWORD key
4. Set value of the key to 1.
5. Select a background image for Logon Screen with size less than 256KB in size (Use of Image Resize software like VSO Resizer can help)
6. Copy that image into the C:\Windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds folder
7. Rename the image to backgroundDefault.jpg
8. Reboot, and now your logon Image would have changed.

Block Any Website On Your Computer.
How to Block Websites without using any Software | Block Any Website On Your Computer..
Have you even been in a situation when you have to block certain websites from your computer for any reason? Well, I am not sure about any body else but certainly I have been many times in such situation. Parents may also want to prevent access to certain websites on their computer so that children can’t get to them from internet.
So what’s the solution?
Aaaah… It’s very simple.
1.) Open “Run” from the start menu (or press WinKey + r). Just copy paste the following path andhit ENTER.
notepad %windir%\system 32\drivers\etc\ hosts
Alternately, go to C:\Windows\Syst em32\Drivers\Et c and find the file “hosts”. Open that file in Notepad.
2.) When this hosts file is opened in Notepad, at the end of the file you will see something like “127.0.0.1localhost”.
3.) Under “127.0.0.1localhost” just add another website URL thatyou want to block.
For Example:-
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.yourfavwebsite.com
127.0.0.3 www.yourwebsite.in
4.) Make sure every time you add another website, the last digit of the address 127.0.0.x should not be the same. ( as shown in Pic)
5.) Save the file and exit.
So, here you go. Restart your browser if it is opened and changes will take place immediately.
The good thing is that no message, no pop ups nothing will be displayed when someone tries to open a blocked website. Your browser will just fail to open those
websites without any error messages.

All Hard Disk manufacturer way of counting
space is different from the way a software count a space. This means to a Hard Disk Manufacturer, 1GB is 1000 MB, 1 MB is 1000 KB and so on. Software or computer language recognize a space in terms of power of 2 say 21, 22,23 etc. hence a KB is 210 Bytes which is 1024 Bytes.
Lets do a little math:
From a Manufacturer a 250 GB hard disk is
250 x 1000 x 1000 x 1000 = 250000000000 Bytes
From the Computer Language point of view a
250000000000 Bytes is:
250000000000/(1024*1024*1024) = 232.83 G Now you’ll see why your 250GB hard disk has only less than 232.83 GB space in total. Well if you go with higher space like 500 GB and so on the space missing is increasing.

To use this trick, follow the instructions given below:-
Click on Start. Navigate to All Programs, Accessories and Notepad.
Copy and paste the exact code given below.

Set speech=CreateObject("sapi.spvo
speech.Speak speaks
3. Replace Username with your own name.
4. Click on File Menu, Save As, select All Types in Save as Type option, and save the file as Welcome.vbs or "*.vbs".
5. Copy the saved file.
6. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup (in Windows XP) and to C:\Users\ {User-Name}\AppData\Roaming\Mi
7. Paste the file.
Now when the next time you start your computer, Windows will welcome you in its own computerized voice.
Note: For best results, it is recommended to change sound scheme to No Sounds.
You can change the sound scheme to No Sounds by following the steps given below:-

Then Click on Sounds and Audio Devices.
